1:1 sessions can also be arranged on request. These are priced at a higher rate of +£30 per session, but will guarantee you all the focus from your tutor, throughout your creative workshop.

▪️Basic skills: involves learning the basics of good preparation and painting techniques. We work on brush techniques and the unique application style of Frenchic, helping you achieve minimal brushstrokes, limiting edge pooling and preventing the overworking of paint, amongst other troubleshooting and useful tips.
▪️Intermediate level: for those who already paint furniture, who are looking to improve their abilities and expand their skills by learning techniques such as layering, distressing, blending, waxing and stencilling. We look at ways of staging your final piece for photography.
▪️Effects and Adornment: includes learning the application of gold, copper or silver leafing. Build up your confidence using other effects such as crackles and glazes. Also, mixing and applying Frensheen metallic minerals making paints, waxes and pastes for furniture and hardware.
We also offer sessions for Advanced Skills, Bespoke packages and even a full 7 week extensive course ‘The Art of Up!’ which teaches you professional furniture refinishing from start to finish.
